Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, has opened a new assembly plant in Nepal, marking its expansion in the South Asian market. With a capacity to assemble 75,000 units annually, the facility aims to meet the growing demand for Hero vehicles in the region.
Located in the Parwanipur Industrial Area of Nepal’s Bara district, the assembly plant was inaugurated by top executives from Hero MotoCorp and local dignitaries. This move is part of Hero’s strategy to strengthen its presence in Nepal and enhance its market share in the country.
The new facility will not only contribute to job creation in Nepal but also boost the local economy through increased investments in the region. By manufacturing and assembling vehicles locally, Hero aims to reduce lead times and costs associated with imports, thereby making its products more accessible to consumers in Nepal.
The company has been expanding its global footprint in recent years, with a focus on emerging markets like Nepal. By leveraging its expertise in manufacturing and technology, Hero MotoCorp aims to become a dominant player in the two-wheeler market in South Asia.
