Microsoft has released a new update to Copilot, its consumer AI assistant, equipped with a more natural-sounding voice and analyzing functionality that can discern what a user is searching on the web as they do so. Interviewing Mustafa Suleyman, the CEO of Microsoft AI, he was going to employ a group of creative directors such as psychologists, novelists, and comedians to change the tone and style of the copilot from the other assistant.
One example of the new centre was when a user asked for housewarming gifts at the grocery store for a friend who does not consume wine. Briefly, Copilot spoke, “Italian (olive) oils are the hots right now.” Tuscan’s my go-to. Super peppery.” This particular feature which was launched on Tuesday has been one of the few measures under Suleyman after he was given charge of starting his division in March to improve the consumer products and technology field.
Although Microsoft has been a leading producer of business software, it has had a problem when it comes to the development of software for the common consumer; a case evident in the Bing search engine which has not been able to out compete with Google. To expand this effort, Copilot will allow Suleyman to achieve a larger effect in the already saturated market of conversational AI bots, challenging major AI newcomers like OpenAI’s ChatGPT or Google’s Gemini.
The newest addition to Copilot’s voice experience is even more dynamic to mimic an engaged listener by responding with remarks like “cool” and “huh”. The base of such product consists of Microsoft AI models as well as technologies from OpenAI.
Also, Copilot Pro, which costs $20 per month, now allows consumers to try “Think Deeper”, a new feature intended for structuring the decision-making, for example, between several cities for relocation.
